Experimental Study of Danshen Injection on TILS' Expansion in Vitro and Cytotoxicity

Objective:Observe the improvement of Danshen Injection (D) on tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) expansion in vitro and cytotoxicity and provide proof to expand clinical description.Methods:Take TILS and autologous tumor cells separated from the cancer hydrothorax.Observe the promotion of D to induce the expansion of TILS and keep its cytotoxicity.Results:(1)The surviving time of TILS cultured with D prolongs significantly(17days).(2)D can make TILS continue expanding during 10 days and keep TILS in a comparative large number during 11th ～15th day in culture.TILS in complete medium will die in one week.(3)Expanded TILS can enhance cytotoxicity in vitro and prolong the surviving time of mice with ascites type of HCC.There is no significant difference between D and rIL 2.Conclusion: D can obviously keep TILS living and their expansion in vitro, and can enhance TILS cytotoxicity. D may be used instead of IL 2 in TILS accelerator.
