Yang Jjxian;Gao Weiguang;Yang sumei;Zhang Yonghong(Institute No.52,Chinese Ordnance Industries Corp.)  
Machining of ceramics processed by ultrasonic vibration-turning is ex-perimentally compared with that through conventional turning and grinding.The result shows that surface quality of ceramics can be obviously improved by vibration turning and surface microcracks caused by conventional turning and grinding can be eliminated.It is thus a new method of precision machining for ceramics.
