Cui Yufu; Zheng Muqiao(School of Vehicular Engineering, B. I. T., Beijing, 100081)  
A model of the solid rubber tire for a tracked roadwheel is developed.The incipience of rolling resistance of the tire is studied. The fundamental difference in mechanisms between the solid roadwheel tire and pneumatic tire is pointedout, and a mathematical model is prompted. The factors of influence are analyzed.
