An Virtual Instrument for Testing Sensitivity of Radar Receiver

HE Zhi-qiang, XUE Shi-jian, ZENG Wen-xian(Hebei University of Economics and Business, Shijiazhuang, Hebei 050061, China)  
This paper discusses the chief techniques and design principle of an virtual instrument used for testing sensitivity of radar receiver. The instrument consists of main control circuit, microwave circuit, signal driver circuit, inner and extra modulator circuit, power filter circuit and interface control circuit integrated in CPLD. It embraces multi-waveband microwave source and exactitude attenuator, Controlled by PC, the instrument is used to test the sensitivity of radar receiver. In order to solve the question of frequency scaling of microwave signal generators, a mathematical model of microwave signal frequency scaling is established and a corresponding algorithm is completed by analyzing many groups of experiment data and using least squares method.
