The community structure and biodiversity of protozoa and zoobenthos in Juma River were studied in March and April 2003.Totally,125 species of protozoa and 17 species of zoobenthos were reported in this paper. The current water quality and the indications of protozoa and zoobenthos to contamination were also investigated. The results showed that species biodiversity of protozoa and zoobenthos in Juma River is high. The water quality is contaminated infrequently.Ecological characteristics of environmental indicators were also discussed. It is able to predict the trends of water qualitative in the river by the variation of the biological indicators.
