Study on Heavy Metal Contamination and Potential

The Characteristics of heavy metals in the sediment of 4 “key rivers” in Hong Kong have been studied.The potential ecological hazards have been assessed using H a kanson Index.The results show that the contamination level of sediments in Hong Kong rivers are from light to moderate.The main factor caused ecological hazard is cadmium,following by copper,lead,zinc,chromium.
