System Design of Intelligent Display Control for Ionospheric Oblique Back Scattering Sounding

The Wuhan ionospheric oblique backscattering sounding system(WIOBSS) was developed successfully by the Ionospheric Laboratory of Wuhan University.This paper introduces the design of its display and control system,the entire design flow chart,the related hardware and software structures,and the basic and extended functions of the system.The display and control system is based on maps and directly draws pictures on the map.It clearly shows the radar echo coverage area and the power scope of radar by contrasting the map.The program can also extract target parameters from raw data,such as group delay,echo amplitude,target location,velocity,and so on,when drawing ionograms,which are intuitive,efficient and accurate to the radar control persons.This display and control system is very simple,easy to use,and has friendly man-machine systems.
