Study on the selection method of focusing function in vision system

The method of choosing focusing function in the visual system is researched.Common focusing functions are adopted for experimental study of their selection process in image measurement system with transmission illumination.Parameters including sensitivity,stability,calculation rapidity etc.are compared and analyzed.The gradient vector square function with good results is confirmed.The conclusion from experiments is that: the greater the selection region of focusing image,the higher the sensitivity curve of focusing function;the stronger or weaker of the intensity of light source,the lower the sensitivity curve of focusing function.
