Model uncertainty bound of first order lag process with dead time and IMC controller design for robust performance

GONG Jian ping (College of Information Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing 100029, China)  
A method of calculating model uncertainty bound for the first order lag process with dead time(FOPDT) is given in this paper. Camparing with the method developed by Laughlin et al, the accuracy of the method in this paper is much higher, and the application scope is more extensive. Using the method given in this paper, the satisfied result of the IMC controller design for robost performance is also obtained.
