The effects of temperature programmed removal of amine on the surface acidity of zeolite β

(Department of Applied Chemistry, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, 100029)  
The effects of temperature programmed decomposition of tetraethylammionium(template)in zeolite β on the surface acidity were studied by means of TPDE and TPD techniques. At the same time, the kinetic behaviors of desorption of pyridine from zeolite β template decomposed were also studied. It is show that this method is more helpful to increase the amount of surface acid sites than calcination in high temperature, but effects of the temperature programmed rate on surface acid amount are small. The apparent activation energies of the desorption of pyridine in turn are 32.23kj/mol and 80.36kJ/mol. The grades are 1 for all stages.
