Methods for Analyzing Multiply Connected Secondary Systems

Several major methods for analyzing multiply connected secondary systems are discussed in this paper. To analyze primary-secondary systems with absorbers or base-isolation , we suggest hybrid modal synthesis with linking area. With this method, we can analyze the effect of different linking elements' stiffness and damping on the response of secondary systems conveniently. Thus, the response of secondary systems can be mitigated by choosing appropriate stiffness and damping of linking elements.
