Study on Translator's Style with Tess of the D'Urbervilles Translated by Zhang Gu-ruo as an Example

The author of this paper makes an analysis of the impact the notion of the cultural turn exerted upon translation studies at home and holds that it is necessary to explore the social,historical and cultural background of the translator as an indispensable part of the study on translation style.Tess of the D'Urbervilles translated by Zhang Gu-ruo is taken as an example in this paper to present his translation style from three aspects: Chinese four-character combination and his pursuit of translation;the annotation and his scientific spirit in translation;the usage of dialect and his life experience.
