An AC Impedance Characteristics of the Cerium Oxide Film Formed on the Aluminum Surface

Electrochemical impedance spectroscope (EIS) of aluminum alloy in cerie solution was investigated to study the film formation.The corrosion resistance of aluminum coated with cerie films was also disscused.Typical EIS spectral changes were clearly observed during the film formation processes. EIS results indicated that cerie film can form on the aluminum surface by chemical treatment and cathodic polarization treatment. The film has good corrosion resistance.
