A STUDY ON CRANIOFACIAL STRUCTURE CHARCTERISTICS OF THE UYGUR NATIONALIY ADULTS WITH NORMAL OCCLUSION IN XINJIANG AUTONOMY REGION

Objective:To establish normal cephalometric values of the uygur nationality adults with normal occlusion in Xinjian,to explore their craniofacial structure features of the hard tissue.Methods:Ninty-three uygur adults with normal occlusion(male 43,female 50)aged from 18 to 25 years were included.All aduts were with normal and well-balanced faces,did not receive orthodontic treatment.The lateral cephalogram of each normal adults were traced,digitized,measured by computer.Statistical calculations perfomed included mean,standard deviations,t tests and mean squar deviation.Results:The uygur normal cephalometric values were established,compared their craniofacial structure charcteristics with Han's and caucasian's.Conclusion:Cranial length,anterior and posterior facial height,facial depth of uygur male is larger than female,The charcteristics of hard tissue of craniofacial structure in uygur adults with normal occlusion were between caucasion's and Han's.
