A CLINICAL OBSERVATION ON THE EFFECT OF 10%(NH 4) 2MoO 2F 4 ON THE PREVENTION AND INHIBITION OF DECIDUOUS CARIES.

Objective:To evaluate the prevention and inhibition action of 10%(NH 4) 2MoO 2F 4 on deciduous caries.Methods:The surfaces of teeth were washed using 10%(NH 4) 2MoO 2F 4 (experiment group)and 0.9% NS(control group).The number of deciduous caries was recorded and analyzed by statistics before and after treatment.Results:①The morbidaty rate of caries in the experiment group was significantly lower than that of control group (P0.05) after two years.②The incidence of the new caries and number of persons who had new caries during the treatment in experiment group were markely lower than that of control group (P0.05).③The effect of 10%(NH 4) 2MoO 2F 4 on inhibition of caries was much strong on dentin caries (P0.02) compared with control group.Conclution:10%(NH 4) 2MoO 2F 4 can prevent deciduous caries,also can inhibit development of caries formation,especially marked effect on inhibition of the dentin caries.
