Wear Cumulation of Carbide Tools Under Varying Cutting Speed Conditions

Pang Siqin Yu Qixun (Department of Mechanical Engineering)  
With theoretical analysis and experimental research, the regularity of wear cumulation of carbide tools under varying cutting speed conditions is studied . It is shown that different modes of variation in cutting speeds result in different wear cumulation rates. A semiempirical mathematical model is given to calculate the rate , and some guidelines for the proper use of carbide tools are concluded .
