Analysis and Evaluation of the Effect of Image Fusion Using Statistics Parameters

To study the objective evaluation of fusion image, statistics parameters such as mean, standard deviation, entropy and cross entropy were used in the analysis and evaluation of image fusion, and this method was applied to the fusion of visual image and thermal image of the same object with multiscale contrast pyramid algorithm(MCPA). The evaluation result coincides with the visual effect and the theory result. The evaluation method using statistics parameter is objective and practical for fusion image.
