Magnetic Memory Effect of Low and Medium Carbon Steel Under Static Tension Conditions

The magnetic memory effects of low carbon steel X70 and medium carbon steel 45 under conditions of static tension. Were presented samples of steel X70 were tested by metal magnetic memory method before and after tension, and rules of distribution of the zero line of the intensity of magnetic field on sample's surface after attaining the plastic deformation zone were derived. Upon experimenting on steel 45 under static tension condition, the magnetic memory method is found to be sensitive to piezomagnetism effect. This provides a probability to test stress changes in the elastic zone.
