A Study on the Braking Performance of Vehicles

He Yuping(College of Vehicular Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing 100081)  
Presents an analysis and a method of calculation for the braking performance of vehicles. Computer simulation is consistent with road tests. Consideration of the wheel slip and the change of Wheel radius during braking favors further consistency with the road test results. Some important phenomena thus far neglected When using the conventional method have been disclosed.
