The Summation of Combating and Controlling Desertification in China

QI You-xiang,ZHAO Ting-ning(College of Soil and Water Conservation,Beijing Foresty University,100083,P.R.China)
Desertification is encroaching the valuable living space, and endangering the existence and development of humankind, which has been paid much attention by the world. This paper systematically introduces the status quo of combating and controlling desertification in China from the different views of the historical changes of combating and controlling desertification, developing stages, the procedure and status quo of the research and practice, and discusses the technologies of combating and controlling desertification in China in new period when the desertification of China firstly turns to reversion trend, which is to promote the development of combating and controlling desertification of China.
