STUDIES ON THE NUTRIENT CYCLING OF PINUS TABULAEFORMIS PLANTATIONI . Content and distribution of nutrient elements

Shen Guofang Dong Shiren Nie Daoping  
In view of its importance in forestry of North China, the nutrient cycling of some Pinus tabulaeformis stands in a plantation of this species in Longhua county in vicinity of Beijing has been investigated. This paper presents some results of chemical analysis of different organs at various heights to show the contents and distributions of the nutrient elements of this tree. From such data, the accumulation and allocation of these elements in biomass of different portion of the stands were estimated. Such figures could be used for reference in checking up the nutrient status of the tree, or for chose of silvicultural treatment for this plantation in the said region.
