The Nutrition Level of Rose and lts Soil Condition

Guo Yonglai Ou Guojing(Pingyin Rose Research Institute, Shandong) (Forest Resources College, BFU)  
In the paper, the leaf nutrition level of Pingyin rose and its growth status, as well as its soil conditions were measured. Results indicate that: the rose plants with different growth status showed marked variation of phosphorus and calcium content in their leaves, and slight differences of other elements. In addition, the ratio among the nutrition elements showed various values. Soil physical properties (especially the coarse sand and gravel content), soil bulk density, and soil porosity may be important factors affecting root growth and flower production of the rose. The site conditions where the Pingyin rose originated were compared to that where Bulgaria rose originated, so that the optimum conditions can be found for developing rose production.
