To search for the correlation between biochemical characteristics of soil and the soil fertility in mixed stands of Pinus thunbergii along seaside,the soil microorganism,enzyme and soil nutrient are detected and analysed in three types of mixed stands of Pinus thunbergii and pure stand.The results are as follows:the differences of microorganism quantity among different types of soil is significant,so is the enzyme activity.Soil nutrient content in the mixed stands is higher than that in the pure stand,especialy in mixed stands of Pinus thunbergii×Robinia pseudoacacia and Pinus thunbergii×Quercus acutissima. The correlation among soil microorganism quantity,enyme activity and soil nutrient content is significant.Therefore it can be used as evaluation index of soil fertility.
