The art of Haopujian in the Beihai Park, Beijing.

Located in the Beihai Park, Beijing, the 6 500 m 2 Haopujian is one of the best gardens within gardens in the existing imperial gardens in the Ming Qing Dynasties. The garden features make the hill water structure to shape a deep valley image for Haopujian, the idea of being secluded from society. This paper traces back to the conception of the garden and examines the hill water structure,how the garden architecture goes with the topography and its link with visiting routes,good and bad points of the hill making methods and plant arrangement.
