Applications of AFLP technique to genetic improvement in forest trees.

AFLP(Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism) is a highly effective technique of DNA fingerprinting newly developed by Zabeau M. Vos P. In this paper, the basic principles of AFLP are introduced and its applications to the genetic improvement of forest trees such as construction of fingerprints, genetic linkage map, genetic identification and molecular\|assisted breeding are reviewed.
