Studies on species diversity of plantation community on Beijing Xishan.

Yan Haiping; Tan Xiao; Sun Xiangyang; Geng Yuqing; Ren Yunmao; Dong Junlan; Wang Tiezhu. Experimental Forestry Center of Beijing, 100093, P. R. China.  
Apply richness, species diversity, dominance index to study 10 different plantation communities. The results show that: ①The Shannon\|Wiener index of most plantation communities is 1 5～3 0. Its changing tendencies are identical with the richness. The application effect is good. ②The richness and Shannon\|Wiener index of 1 tree sublayer are lower than 2 tree sublayer, but Simpson index is larger. ③In different plantation communities, the richness and Shannon\|Wiener index of Pinus armandii Franch and Quercus dentata Thunb are richer than others'. ④The richness and Shannon\|Wiener index for different layers in plantation community show that the herb layer is higher than shrub layer and tree layer, while shrub layer and tree layer are similar. ⑤The variation of species diversity index for different strata is in the following order: herb layershrub layertree layer.
