Container seedling for Pistacia chinensis and study on its drought resistance.

The culture media consisting of various materials such as farmland soils,fine sands and hasty charcoal were tested for raising seedlings of Pistacia chinensis in containers.The study of drought resistance for Pistacia chinensis was based on it.In the period of drought stress,the major physiologic and growth indices in different culture media were measured.The result showed that under the conditions of soil drought stress,drought resistance of the different media was positively related with MRW and SWC,and negatively with SDW,Pm and SWP.There were different growth and physiologic indices of the various culture media.Drought resistance of Pistacia chinensis in containers was raised by proper proportion of the three materials.
