Patterns of green area in residential districts.

The paper analyzes the natural conditions and present situation of the green areas in the residential districts, and divides the residential districts into 3 levels (high, middle and low level) according to the ratio of green areas in Huhhot of Inner Mongolia. It researches the layout and configuration of green areas in typical residential environment. By the tarrying dust benefit of the leaf area of coniferous trees and deciduous trees of typical native plants and the benefit of lowering temperature and increasing moisture of different plant communities, the authors measure and calculate the ecological benefits for different kinds of plant community. The authors propose the construction suggestions of ecological green areas in accordance with the achievements which has been researched by the others in other ecological benefits of green area. Finally the paper puts forward the strategies of constructing high standard green area in residential district according to concrete conditions in Hohhot,for example,increasing ratio of green area,enriching varieties of plant, suiting measures to local conditions, laying landscape communities with their own characteristics.
