Tree root water uptake model based on soil hydrodynamics Ⅰ:Single tree

Plant root water uptake model has become a hot issue in the field of water consumption of tree.Tree,as an individual,is a basic unit of stand.Soil water is the source of water consumption of trees.According to Darcy-theory and Dupuit-hypothesis,the roots of tree were approximately considered as an upside-down circular cone,and then plant root water uptake model was established.Took Chinese pine as an example,the validation results show that the simulated values were close to the measured values during June to August,the average of difference value was 0.110 mm/d and the average error 3.61%,but the error was a bit bigger than that in September.
