Study on the Division of Forest Fire Danger in the Forestry Bureau by Using Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System

In this study, the following maps are compiled by using TM image through digital image processing: the distribution map of forest resources, the distribution map of the combustibility of forest combustibilities, the map of forest fire danger weather classes,the map of population density, the map of road-network density and the map of the frequency of forest fire occurrence. By using the image superposition in the management of GIS spacedata bank and natural attribute bank, forest fire danger is classified. On the basis of comprehensive analysis assessment, by using the calculation program system of knowledge and by simulating the range of forest fire danger and the ability to solve problems, the forest fire danger of Diebu Forestry Bureau is divided into four classes, i. e., Class Ⅰ(high fire danger area), Class Ⅱ(fire danger area), Class Ⅲ (common fire danger area) and Class Ⅳ(low fire danger area). Taking the forestry bureau as a whole, and different gully systems as the units of assessment in the whole, the average fire danger classes of the forestry bureau can be obtained by calculating the weighted arithmetic mean of the areas of the fire danger classes of small subcompartments.
