A Preliminary Study on the Mechanism of Vitrification of Mains zumi

The relationship of some experimental factors with the vitrification of Mains zumi was studied. Meanwhile the mechanism of vitreous shoot occurrence was explored with some respiratory inhibitors. The results show that there are many factors affecting the vitrification, such as growth rate, enclosed material, kind and density of plant growth regulators, agar, etc. The vitreous shoot increase significantly when the photorespiration and hoxose monophosphate pathway are restrained. It is confirmed that the restraint of respiration of shoot in vitro is the reason of vitrification.
