An Individual Model for Chinese Fir Plantations in Fujian Province

From the data of 32 temporary or permanent plots in Chinese fir plantations inFujian Province, the potential diameter growth function and the adjustment function of indi-vidual tree diameter growth are established based upon the method of adjusting growth andRichards growth equation,The diameter growth model is made in which the relative diameter(RD0)and relative spacing(RS)are selected respectively as the competition and densityindices.According to the relations between height and diameter,a tree height model whichconsidering dominant tree height as site quality indicator is derived, in order to simulate treeheight better;The height residual distribution,following Normal distribution, is also taken into account.
