A Visible Stand Model Based on Image of Tree

Song Tieying(College of Basic Sciences and Information Engineering Beijing For. Univ.,100083,P.R.China)  
A visible model of stand based on image of tree is introduced in this paper.A prototype of tree,which is with typical orm and structure of this species,is treated as the average tree in a stand.Using the image resampling technology,the image of this prototype tree can be magnified or reduced to different scale in order to simulate each tree in this stand.The coordinate of pixel and the scale of each tree in a projection plane is calculated by means of the projection principle.The scaled images of all trees are moved to their corresponding coordinates in the display plate and the stand image is formed.This visible stand model can quickly provide more really stereoscopic image of the stand.An application software based on this model can be developed for the design and simulation of the landscape of forests and plants.
