Development of Explant Browning Researches

Yao HongjunLuo XiaofangTian Yanting (College of Plant Sciences, Beijing For. Univ., 100083,P.R.China))  
Focused on the recent development of explant browning researches and based on Polyphenol Oxidases and Polyphenol, the influences of explant browning, the methods to overcome browning in tissue culture, and the mechanism of explant browning are reviewed and analyzed. It shows that, the contents of Polyphenol, type and activities of Polyphenol Oxidase, permeability of biomembrane, genotype of explant are all determination factors for the browning of material.
