Thought on the Exploitation of Village Tour Commodities in China

Liu Xiaofen (Business School, Beijing Technology and Business University, Beijing 100037)
China's National Tourism Administration announced recently the village tours as the theme of tourism in 2006, which indicates "Chinese Village Tours 2006" is now on. The rapid development of China's tourism industry has promoted the segmental tourism markets. Village tour has become a huge and potential market in the exploitation of Chinese tourism market. Shopping is one of the "Six Elements" in tourism activity, but the growth in tour commodity sales is slack, which has become a bottleneck to restrict the development of China's tourism. The bottleneck also deters the development of village tour. The exploitation of village tour commodity not only promotes the development of China's village tours, but also plays an important role in solving the problem of peasants' income increase, improving the situation in rural areas and achieving the deep development in agriculture.
