A New Noninvasive NIR Approach for the Estimation of Body

Content of body fat of a human being is an important parameter of anthropometry. Reasonable control of body fat content is important for one's health. A NIR method is developed to estimate the content of body fat,based on different coefficients of absorption of body fat and muscles, and also on the theory of random migration of photons in two-layer media. Brief analysis is carried out using a model of random migration of photons in tissue. With height and weight measurement thickness of fat in biceps get by this method can obtain total content of body fat by statistical regressive method. The method has advantages of being very accurate, safe,fast,and reliable.
