TIAN Yong-po (School of Economics and Business Administration, BNU, Beijing 100875, China)
Human capital can be divided into general human capital and special human capital, but the influence of each on employment is different. In case of presenting the buyer's market in the labor market, people with general human capital obtain employment more easily than those with special human capital. This classification of human capital has a close relation with speciality setup of higher education:the narrower the speciality caliber is, the stronger the speciality of graduate's human capital. As a result, the degree of difficulty of employment is greater. So higher education should carry on the following reform in China: widen the caliber of speciality setup, increase the proportion of rudimentary knowledge and basic of technical ability in the study, and combine the fostering of specialized person with the training of enterprises together.
