Family Socio-economic Status and Possibility of Students' Employment

The socio-economic status of the parents may play a decisive role in determining a student's social capital the moment he graduates, the latter of which is in turn related to his employment behaviour and the result. The author of the present paper supplies evidences showing that the social capital measured by the family socio-economic status has an immediate effect of various degree upon his employment will, job-application bahaviour and the possibility of success. That is, it is more likely for him who has a higher social capital to suspend his employment, or to choose an enterprise to work, to have higher income expectation and to be more confident. And comparatively, the effort he exerts is less and the possibility of being employed is higher. Therefore, social capital should not be neglected in the studies in question.
