Comparison study on adsorption nitrogen and phosphorus for different substrates materials in ecological river

Constructing ecologic river is an effective technique to restore river water quality.Suitable substrate materials can improve the purifying polluted performance.In this paper,the adsorption nitrogen and phosphorus ability of gravel,sand and zeolite in different concentration was investigated respectively,and the mechanism of adsorption was discussed.The results show that Freundlich adsorption isotherms can delineate the adsorption characteristics of the three substrates.On the most ability of adsorption,the gravel is larger than sand but smaller than zeolite.So using gravel and zeolite as the substrates is an effective way to improve the performance of ecological river.
