Effects of the Administration of Chinese Drugs for Regulating Qi and Activating Blood Circulation on Some Biochemistry Indexes in Training Mice

The effects of the administration of Chinese drugs for regulating Qi and activating blood circulation (RQAB) on some biochemistry indexes in training mice were observed. The results showed 1 )The administration of RQAB drugs increased the activity of SOD in the liver and the quardriceps femoris of mice,but their MDA content decreased correspondingly,indicating that drugs could improve the metabolism offree radica1s in the body. 2)The training combined with drug administration improved the concentration ofHb and reduced the blood urea level immediately after exercise. 3)The training combined with drug administration reduced the serum GOT activity,and GTP and ALP trended to decrease, which suggested thatdrug administration was beneficial to the maintenance of the integraty of cells. 4)The training combinedwith RQAB drug administration increased not only the activity of LDH in the liver and the quadricepsfemoris at rest,but also the activity of MDH and LDH immediately after exercise,suggesting that metaboliccapacity of the body increased. 5)Both training and training comblned with drug administration improvedthe muscle glycogen. Furthermore,training combined with drug administration reduced the muscle glycogen consumption during exercise,which was advantageous to the development of endurance.
