The internal law of the body mass indexes of the Chinese elite female rowers was explored. The main conclusions are as follows: 1)The body mass indexes of the Chinese elite female rowers reflect the general demands of the specific characteristics of physique and body type from them. That is the great and strong of stature with long and thin arms as well as brawny and strong thigh. 2)The Quetelet index (x1), girth of thigh index (x16), body height and chest girth indexes (x2) are able to reflect the comprehensive morphological level of the Chinese elite female rowers. The regression equation was established, which is more reliable and valid after checking. Hereby it is able to predict and evaluate the comprehensive morphological level of the Chinese elite female rowers. 3)There exists entirely significant difference in body mass indexes between the rowers of the open weight class and those of the lightweight class. 4)The distinguishing functions were established by using the Quetelet index, girth of thigh index (x16) as well as the body height and chest girth indexes as their variables. After the distinguishing check it was shown that the groups that the rowers subordinate to can be differentiated effectively by these functions and the rationality of the body mass indexes of the open class and lightweight class rowers can be evaluated.
