The Effects of Gynostemmapentaphyllum on Experimental Hyperglycemia Rats' Plasma Lipoprotein Metabolism and Their Related Enzyme Activity

The rats were raised with high fat diet for six weeks and then the model of hyperglycemia was then established.After that,the rats were treated with high or low dose of Gynostemmapentaphyllum and Xiezhikang as a masculine comparison for four weeks.Then,those rats were executed and their plasma TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,PHTA,LPL and HL were compared.The results showed that high and low dose of Gynostemmapentaphyllum could decrease the serum cholesterol,triglyceride and LDL-C remarkably and raise the activity of PHTA and LPL.The high dose of Gynostemmapentaphyllum could also elevate the activity of HL.The results showed that the Gynostemmapentaphyllum can decrease lipid in serum and improve their componential,which may be related with the raised activity of related enzyme.
