Effect of Electroacupuncture in Hippocampus on The Hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal Axis-GLUand Brain-derived Neurotrophic Factor in Mice

Objective:To study the effects of electroacupuncture on the hypothalamus-pituitary adrenal Axis and brain-derived neurotropic factor in hippocampus in exhausted mice of swimming.Methods: 60 mice were randomly divided into 3 groups,the control group,exhausted group and the electroacupuncture group.Radioimmunoassay method was adopted in the determination of hypothalamus CRF,pituitary ACTH,the CORT in adrenal and serum and the expression of BDNF in hippocampus.Results :As compared with the control group,exhausted swimming could markedly enhance the hypothalamus CRF,the CORT in adrenal and serum;electroacupuncture reduced the contents of hypothalamus CRF,the CORT in adrenal and serum in the electroacupuncture group.the BDNF in hippocampus neurons of electroacupuncture group is significantly increased individually compared with the control group.the BDNF in hippocampus neurons of electroacupunctu-re group is close to the control group.Conclusion:Electroacupuncture could improve the hypoththalamus pitu-itary-adrenal axis and the expression of BDNF in hippocampus neurons in exhausted mice of swimming.electroacupuncture has a benign regulating effect on sports fatigue of exhausted mice of swimming.
