Preparation of nanopowder MnO_2 and its application

YU Xin-wu,QU Yuan (Dept. Chem. & Envmt. Engn., Hubei Normal Univ., Huangshi 435002, Hubei, China)  
Nanopowder MnO_2 was prepared with two methods. IR, micrograph and the experiment of H_2O_2 decomposition were used to study the properties of the MnO_2 powder. The results of the properties and characterization show that the nano-MnO_2 had an average diameter in 100~120 nm and higher catalytic activity for H_2O_2 decomposition than the common analystic pure MnO_2.
