Synthesis of 2-hydroxyacetophenone-2-formicanil and its application

Aim To synthesize a new fluorescent reagent 2-hydroxyacetophenone-2-formicanil(HAFC) and analyse its use in the determination of trace aluminum.Method Spectrofluorimetry was used to analysize trace aluminum in examples.Results The reagent exhibited a maximum of fluorescence emission spectrum at 429.0 nm.The reagent could form a complex with aluminum ion to cause its fluorescence quenching.A new spectrofluorimetric method for the determination of trace aluminum using this reagent has been developed.The linear range of the method is from 0.0 to 130.0 μg/L and the detection limit is 0.20 μg/L of aluminum.Conclusion The method has been successfully applied to the determination of aluminum in physiological saline injection,glucose injection solution,milk and deep-fried dough strip.
