The preparation of nano-silica solid particles

Objective—To provide materials which can be gotten more cheaply and easily for the wide application of nano-silica solid particles by studying the optimum condition for the preparation of nano-silica solid particles.Methods—Stober method was used to prepare nano-silica solid particles,and the optimum condition for the preparation of nano-silica solid particles was explored with tetraethyl orthosilioate,ammonia solution and ethanol absolute as raw materials by changing the experiment conditions;X-ray diffractometer and FESEM(Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope)were used to characterize the products,and the morphology and particle size of nano-silica solid particles were observed.Results—The results show that when the dosage of tetraethyl orthosilioate is3~4mL,ammonia solution is about 6mL,reaction temperature is about 25℃,and the agitator rotational speed is 720~760r/min,the synthetised nano-silica solid particles have better dispersion and uniform particle size distribution other than about 780 nm of its particle size diameter.Conclusion—Solid nano-silica particles are innoxious and odorless white solid powders,which is widely used.This experiment provides an ideal condition for the preparation of nano-silica solid particles.
