An Optimal Bit Loading Algorithm in Multi-CellMulti-User OFDM Systems

Based on the intensive research on the optimal and sub-optimal sub-(carrier,) bit, power loading algorithms developed in multi-user and single-cell OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) systems, the performance of multi-cell and multi-user OFDM-TDMA(time division multiple access) system is studied in this paper. And a dynamic sub-carrier, bit and power allocation algorithm is applied to the system to (maximize) the system throughput, to mitigate the effect of CCI(co-channel (interference)) and to satisfy the required quality of service. The simulation results show that the algorithm is more efficient than the equal power allocation algorithms.
