USING SENSING AND MONITORING SYSTERM TO STUDY INTERNAL PERMEABLE PROPERTY OF THICK-SECTION REINFORCEMENT DURING LCM PROCESS

The internal permeable property of thick-section performs during LCM process was investigated.A method that can study the internal permeable situation of thick-section performs during LCM process by using sensing and monitoring systerm was introduced.The internal permeable property of glass fiber reinforcement,glass fiber with distribution media and glass fiber with distribution media and strand mat were studied.It is very critical to have the right size of distribution media on the performs to increase the productivity and ensure part quality.The combination of distribution media and strand mat can be used to increase impregnation when the structure design allows.
