SOC Estimation of Traction-Battery for Electric Vehicle Using Terminal Voltage

Taking battery cell as the research object, a dynamic state -of -charge (SOC) estimation for traction -battery is presented tosolve the problems of SOC real-time calculating for traction battery of electric vehicle in running state. By supplying a constant current load forthe lead-acid batteries periodically, multiple terminal voltages can be measured. Therefore, the surplus time of the battery at the moment willbe calculated with slop calculation, and then SOC is achieved. The feasibility of dynamic working point transiting into static working point isproved. The relative error of the method is less than 7%, and the compensation for temperature and aging can be realized by the software. Theresult of error analysis indicates that the method has the advantages of low error and accurate measurement
