Properties and Characteristics of Glass Powder of Al_2O_3-SiO_2-P_2O_5-CaF_2 System by Liquid Precipitation

Nano-sized glass powder in Al2O3-SiO2-P2O5-CaF2 system was prepared by liquid precipitation method into which several inorganic substances were added as initial reactants containing ions such as Al3+,SiO32-,P3O105-,Ca2+,F-respectively.The glass powder was heat-treated within the range of temperature from 400 to 900℃.The morphology,crystalline status,chemical composition,bonding structure and crystallization of the glass were characterized by TEM,XRD,EDAX,IR,DSC etc.The results show that the glass powder containing Al,Si,Ca,P,O,F elements composed of hollow and near spherical amorphous particles with size from 30 to 70nm.Crystalline phases CaF2,Al2SiO5,Ca2SiO4 and Ca3(PO4)2 were separated sequentially from 600 to 900℃.The network structure was mainly formed by the tetrahedrons of,and ,which were linked by the oxygen atoms as the co-apex of angle in the tetrahedrons.
